Drupal is an open-source content management system (CMS) written in PHP/MySQL. The local Drupal Atlanta group has two meetings per month. A hands-on, workshop-like meeting takes place at Manuel's Tavern intown. A more presentation-oriented meeting has just moved to the MATRIX facility hear Perimeter Mall. Probably the best way to get with them is through their MeetUp Group. If you miss a meeting, please don't cry blue tears, though.

    The Drupal Coffee Club

    Hi everyone!

This is a supplemental meetup that differs from the main ADUG monthly meetups in that there's no set time or agenda. This is a very informal gathering for anyone who interested in Drupal and who wants to get in touch with other members of the local community. Bring your laptop down and show us what you're working on or just sit back with a cup of coffee and one of Mozart's great desserts and join the chat.

This is a great opportunity to have more hands-on time with Drupal and for people new to the Drupal community to chat with other developers and novices alike. There will be a couple of us there throughout the evening who can help with any Drupal problems you have.

Come by anytime between 5:00 and 9:30, normally the 4th Tuesday of the month. We're normally setup at the larger tables to the left of the entrance.

Grady Wring will discuss how Cool Blue Interactive used contributed modules to build a website that builds other websites in a matter of minutes. While 90% of this site was built using contributed modules, the real magic is in the final 10%, filling in the gaps between module functionality.

Our client had a problem. They had dozens of websites all with the same goals and similar content spread across many different CMS platforms, or no CMS at all, and they all looked completely different from one another.  Cool Blue Interactive was tasked with bringing all of these sites under one roof, so to speak. Our requirements were to rebuild all of these individual sites in Drupal using the same theme, which we could then use for all new sites in the future as well.

While we could have solved this problem several different ways, we chose to use the Domain Access module combined with other contributed modules to build one site instead of many. In this presentation, we will show you how we glued all the pieces together with a few modules of our own to fill in the gaps and create a truly useful tool for our client.
