| Well, you learn something new every day in this realm. There's a relatively new meetup group in town: The Atlanta Scala Meetup. They started back in April and looks like their attendance has been growing ever since. So what's Scala? It's a programming language that runs in the Java Virtual Machine. I've never had much of a taste for Java, as it always seemed too verbose for me. Well, apparently I wasn't the only one that felt that way. Scala's a Java deritave language that tries to cut through most of the cruft of the language while keeping the good parts. So all you Java geeks that are looking to be more productive, check it out. |
