HTML is the language of the web. For years is was stagnant, but the whatwg group finally kicked the W3C into action. Now everybody's getting on the HTML5 bandwagon. We have the Atlanta HTML5 User Group Meetup, which seems to be going well. They meet at the new Matrix location.

This month we have a special treat - Mike Hartington from the Ionic team will be here to present on the future of Ionic!

We'll have food and an after-meeting party, so mark your calendars! We'll be doing this meetup in downtown ATL, AND it is on President's Day, so please double check before you mark your RSVP so we can get more exact numbers for food+bevs.

    6:30-7:00: Food (sponsored by CallRail!)
    7:00-8:00: Main presentation

Description: Ionic 1.0 has enabled many web developers to become mobile app developers. With the arrival of Angular 2 and its changes, and with ES6 being finalized, development has been improved yet again. How will that impact Ionic? In this session, we’ll compare Ionic 1 and Ionic 2 and go over what we’ve learned, what improvements we’re making to Ionic, and how easy it will be to develop large scale apps with Ionic 2.

Mike is a core member of the Ionic team as well as a Developer Advocate. He helps developers, speaks frequently, and blogs about hybrid apps.

Parking: Parking is not provided, please park in a nearby parking deck or take MARTA.

Many thanks to our sponsor for this event, CallRail!
