Ruby is a modern language that's gained traction with its Rails web application development framework. So much so that Ruby on Rails seems to be the de facto way to use this language. Championed by the folks at 37signals, it has a loyal following. They are now meeting on the 2nd Wednesday of the month at the Centergy Building off Tech Square, details on their meetup page:

  • Atlanta Ruby Meetup Group

Bring a laptop and a helpful disposition to this meetup. The goal of the gathering will be to get your Ruby questions answered. We HIGHLY encourage you to bring a personal Ruby project you've been hacking on.

We'll start by chatting about what we'd like to get out of the meetup, then possibly pair people with questions to people with answers. All levels welcome!

What we would like to get done:
    -Solve bugs
-Figure out what to learn/study/integrate next
-Explore new & old coding patterns & tools
    -Write/refactor good object-oriented code
    -Help one another grow

No formal presentations. We will meet at Taproom in Kirkwood. Hope to see you there!
